Instead of relying on the original’s tense, late-night synth progression, he rebuilds the foundation with earthy drum patterns, rolling tribal grooves, and a pulsing low-end that adds warmth rather than cold intensity. The legendary vocal lines and unmistakable hook still cut through, but they land with a more hypnotic, immersive quality in this new rhythmic setting. Fernández manages to honour the emotional weight of the classic while injecting it with modern Afro-inspired movement, making it a standout interpretation for contemporary sets.
